Issued as a deluxe handcrafted package, this set includes 2 colored vinyl 12\u2033 LPs, a silkscreened cover, a die-cut cover, 4 inserts and a generous 40 page booklet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M.I.A.<\/strong>\u00a0is a seminal hardcore punk band from Las Vegas \/ Orange County. They appeared on the classic 1982\u00a0<em>Last Rites for Genocide and M.I.A.<\/em>\u00a0split LP and released the\u00a0<em>Murder in a Foreign Place<\/em>\u00a0album on Jello Biafra\u2019s Alternative Tentacles label in 1984.<\/p>\n<p>In 1985, the band enlisted the services of producer Thom Wilson (<strong>T.S.O.L<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0Dead Kennedys<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0D.I.<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0D.O.A.<\/strong>, etc.) and recorded\u00a0<em>Notes from the Underground<\/em>. Following a path treaded by the likes of the\u00a0<strong>Damned<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>T.S.O.L.<\/strong>, the band expanded their sound with darker tones and a more personal approach.
