We are teaming up with Darla Records to bring you a complete chronological collection of everything M.I.A. recorded and/or released throughout the 80s, as re-issued by both labels over the past decade.
In 2017, Darla Records reissued the band’s last 2 records, Notes From the Underground (1985) and After the Fact (1987) on CD. Modern City picked up the ball in 2023 and started re-issueing the band’s entire catalog on vinyl, including the seminal Murder In a Foreign Place album (1984), in conjunction with Alternative Tentacles.
This 49 tracks double CD set includes:
– Tracks from the Last Rites for Genocide and M.I.A. LP (Smoke Seven 1982) and the Not so Quiet on the Western Front compilation LP (Alternative Tentacles 1982), as released on We Must Fight! (Modern City 2025)
– The 1983 Green Carton demo, released on the Murder in a Foreign Place – 40th Anniversary Edition LP (Alternative Tentacles / Modern City 2024)
– Murder in a Foreign Place (Alternative Tentacles 1984)
– Notes from the Underground (National Trust 1985)
